• - The valve cover gasket is one of the most common oil leak points on Honda K-series engines. Symptoms of a failed gasket include visible oil leaks at the top of the engine, burning oil smell from the engine bay (oil dripping onto the hot exhaust manifold), oil collecting in the spark plug wells causing misfires, low engine oil level, and oil residue around the spark plugs and ignition coils.
