10x20x1 Reusable Air Filter MERV 8 Allergen HVAC

About This Item

• BUY IT ONCE, RINSE IT FOR YEARS: Stop buying a new disposable filter every 1-3 months. The McPherson 10x20x1 washable air filter comes out, gets a quick rinse and goes right back in, so one purchase replaces the stack of throwaway filters you would otherwise keep reordering. The aluminum frame and mesh are built to last the life of your HVAC system, and the MERV 8 polyester layer typically lasts 5-10 years.
• MADE TO FIT YOUR 10x20x1 SLOT: At 9.75" x 19.75" x 0.875", the McPherson 10x20x1 filter is sized like every standard 10x20x1 filter, so it slides straight into the slot your old one came out of. Not sure of your size? It is printed on your current filter's frame, or measure the slot: about 10" x 20" and at least 1" deep. Slot runs a little big? Foam weatherstripping on the frame edge closes the gap so air goes through the filter, not around it.
• CLEANER AIR WITHOUT THE MONTHLY REORDER: Rated MERV 8 on the ASHRAE 52.2 scale, the McPherson reusable filter captures at least 70% of 3-10 micron particles, the dust, pollen, lint, pet hair and pet dander that collect on furniture and vents. That is the same everyday filtration level as a MERV 8 disposable, in a filter you keep. It has no carbon layer, so it is made for particles, not odors or smoke.
• MADE IN THE USA BY A FILTER MANUFACTURER: McPherson Manufacturing builds this filter in-house in Hazlehurst, Georgia, the same shop that makes filters for commercial and OEM HVAC customers. An aluminum frame with mitered corners holds corrugated aluminum mesh and a MERV 8 polyester media layer that does the fine filtering.
• CLEANS IN MINUTES, NO TOOLS: Every 30-90 days, depending on pets and dust, slide the McPherson filter out and rinse it with a garden hose, or blow it out with an air hose, working from the clean side outward. Use a little mild dish soap for heavy buildup. Skip pressure washers, washing machines, dishwashers, bleach and harsh chemicals, which can damage the media. Let it air dry completely, 24-48 hours, then slide it back with the arrow pointing toward the blower.
